Community Services report from Taiwan Region

1.     Drinking Bottle Water Donation (North district)

1,500 cartons of bottled water had been donated to the Taipei County fire department in July/2019 to appreciate their contribution to saving lives.
Each bottle has Y’s Men’s logo on the label. (Each carton contain 24 bottles).
This activity has been holding more than 9 years and 9 clubs of North district have dispatched representatives to participate in this meaningful event.

2.     Send love to the disabled children (North district)
Taipei Wenshan Special Education School is a Public school only accepts underprivileged and disabled children under age of 18.
Club president of Y’s Men’s club of Taipei A-List Ms.Wang has a long term relationship with them.
She encouraged many Y’s Men’s Members to donate 50 boxes of special made cookies to the school to show our love/care during the annual lunar Autumn Festival.

3.     Anti-drug campaign (North district)
The Above campaign was held jointly by Keelung city government and Y’s Men’s club of North district at Keelung Athletic center on 26/Oct/2019.
The organizers handed out towels and flyers(as attached photos)to every participant. There are more than 150 adult and youth attended.
All attendees collaboratively and loudly “ Say No to drug “
Furthermore, Everyone inks their hand finger with different colors on a long paper band to show heartily determination to fight against drugs.

 4.     Chang- Hwa Elderly Care-Center Charity Sale (Central district)

Taiwan Y’s Men’s clubs of Central district have been attending this activity for more than 20 years.
All 8 clubs of Central district took part in this long-lasting charity activity on 6/Oct/2019.
There were total 22 booths are booked and donated by Y’s Men’s Clubs.
each booth sold different kinds of products. We are sure this meaningful charity activity will be extended to the future to show Y’s Men’s love/ fellowship to the elderly in Chang-Hwa county. 

5.     Beautify our community (South district)
South district club’s members / menettes cooperated with local YMCA to create a new idea of C.S. activity to beautify local villages and promote the name of Y’s Men’s International.
The Y’s Men’s club of Kaohsiung led and organized this event.
It was a successful activity. You can compare the initial shabby house to the beautiful countryside scenery on both sides newly painted house walls.
It took 2 days to complete this hard works.
We appreciate the majority of southern district members /menettes and RD Tony Liao participation & donation.

6.     Blood Donation (All districts)
Blood donation charity activities is a popular charitable event on island-wide
basis in Taiwan.
The Majority of clubs in Taiwan region have their style /location of blood donation activity annually.
 For example, Y’s Men’s Club of Taoyuan used to join with their mother club, Taipei-Union, to do this annual blood donation event.
Local public Blood –Donation Center was requested to provide one blood donation vehicle on the activity spot.
Taoyuan club usually offers small gifts to every blood donor to express appreciation for their charitable deed.
The slogan of Blood donation is “Donate one bag, Save one life”
